What a coincidence! I have just finished reading your book HEART FULL OF LIES and then the news that Liysa is free today…what a shame. I am a Ugandan from Eastern Africa and a great fan of Ann Rule (Educational psychologists). I have read over 10 books of hers. Keep up the good work, I am disappointed at the short sentence Liysa has served. May God rest Chris in Eternal peace. joy

I really enjoy your work..I am wondering if you have thought about doing a book or looking into a 47 yr old Murder of Cheri Jo Bates (Riverside California), no one seems to be too interested in doing a national piece on that poor girls murder! I do not beleive the ZODIAC killer took her life !
It just seems to me Cheri Jo Bates murder has been forgotten and there seems to be alot of questionable loose ends with the case ! I was in the Navy in 1968 when a shipmate told me his close friend back in California, His sister was Murdered in Riverside ,California… years later it sunk in when reading about the Zodiak killer, they mentioned Cheri Jo Bates might have been his first victim. This brought back memories of what my shipmate had told me in 1968..his friends name by the way was Michael Bates ! Sad story..and I feel so bad that her Murder was never given National attention..or solved !

Hey Jerri! I still read the posts but most are junk. I have the FB site bookmarked. I don’t get notices that people post on FB unless they are in my friend list. Most of the stuff here is just junk and I don’t think it’s monitored anymore. Maybe Rainey should take it down. IDK?
Maybe Ann is busy writing the new book. The stuff on here is very quirky and not many post on facebook. So many haven’t written on here in a very long time.

I have not been able to visit Ann’s “Dashboard” and comment since Ann went with WordPress. Seems 2-3 yrs. earlier I set up a blog re:Casey Anthony. I only did one blog then decided I had rather go on so many of the other blogging sites. When I tried to comment here I read all about Ann’s changes,even tried to delete my blog site(thru WordPress)and was never successful. Where here do I get help so I can be able to go here again. Ann is my most favorite author and I have 2 of each of her books. I don’t want any body to follow my one blog but when I went into Ann’s revised site it automatically picked up that I had one blog site through WordPress. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering if you ever read the book about the sexton family .? The fathers name is Eddie lee sexton sr..He died on death rowe in florida..This is my family and the author wrote it with out any of us cosenting ..What can we do?

I’d say see an attorney. I haven’t read the book. What was the title? I found “House of Secrets” by Lowell Cauffiel by using Google. I’m no expert on literary law. I’m an Ann Rule Fan. Sounds like you would have a much better knowledge of his life.
Yes house of secrets was about our family..All my siblings say let it go but this is really hard to do! when they find out about the abuse i went through they always say then you will end up doing this to your own kids! how horrible to say that to some you dont know! i have become a christian and married a Godly man and we have 3 kids young ones.7 – 4 and 9 months..I am having a hard time finding what to do..

I feel very guilty for trusting the one that did it. I didn’t know until she was 21 and told me. She was abusive to her children and I took the youngest away just last year. It would be therapeutic to write about it if only for yourself if you don’t publish it. Take it to the main board above and the rest of the ARFs (we are mere fans) and Ann will see it.
Wishing all my frineds a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We are headed to California tomorrow for the holidays. It will be our last Christmas with my father-in-law more than likely. he is having more heart trouble and has had 2 heart attacks this year. I guess at 93 these things are to be expected. I am still reeling from the horrific murders in Conneticut. I just don’t understand why some one would shoot children..much less any one. Just breaks my heart. No reason behind it all and if I hear one more person claim the killer was mentally ill, I may get sick. Like Josh Powell, he is nothing but a craven coward. God bless all the families suffering from this horrible tragedy! God bless you all!
