Looks like SPAM again. This is the problem with this site now that Ann has moved on. I don’t think it’s monitored. Maybe we should exchange emails privately somehow. Here is a way to send you email so that SPAM engines cannot pick it up. dew drop _ me a line at (@) the y dot

Now no spaces and you all have heard of yahoo. I know some of you know my e-addy but let’s see if any of our clever ARFs figure this out. I’d love to hear from you.

And while I’m at it. My preemie is doing well. Thank you all.

Your new book is now on my Kindle and I SOOO ready to savor it-going to the hairdresser now and will read it while I wait for my dye to take-carved out 5 minutes the day it arrived to read the intro- Ann -you have no idea what your books mean to those who follow you.

  • Amanda McGauley  On November 28, 2012 at 4:30 pm

Just finished your new book and loved it! Never disappointed in any of your works. I would not mind seeing you do a piece on the strange circumstances surrounding the disappearence and subsequent murder on Ricky Holland. I know the story made headlines here in Michigan a few years ago and ended with the conviction of his adoptive parents in his murder.
Also would not mind seeing a story done on the currently missing Skelton boys from Morenci.

I just got mine today…and you’re already done! I savor the Rule…but will be done in a couple days too…. 🙂

  • Miss Mimi  On November 21, 2012 at 10:29 am

Ann and my fellow ARF’s—May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’m cooking a little dinner tomorrow (most of it out of packages, lol) and will share it with my husband and a dear friend. Never successfully cooked a turkey in my life (and I’m no spring chicken), so bought a nice precooked turkey breast from Costco that I can just heat up in the oven. Mashed potatoes and stuffing out of a box, but I am making my own drop biscuits and broccoli/cheese casserole. It’ll be fun, altho I miss my family, who are spread all over the place. It would be nice to be able to get together again on Thanksgiving. Ah, well, such is life. Love to all.

  • C/C Rosie  On November 21, 2012 at 9:33 am

Wishing everybody a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. My hubby is taking me out to dinner so no cooking for me! And no clean up in the kitchen either! For that I am really grateful. Lots been going on…my father-in-law had a heart attack last week but is home again and seems to be recovering nicely…as long as he doesn’t over do it like he was. Pop is 93 now and this is his second heart attack. Please, lots of prayers! Blessings to all my ARF friends!

    • Yoma Hitchcock  On November 22, 2012 at 7:28 pm

      Hi Rosie,
That was nice hubby took you out to eat!. I went to my sister’s and got to see some of my nephews, etc. Sorry about your father-in-law. I hope he takes it easy! I hope he does o.k. Prayers for you and yours.
      Yoma

      • C/C Rosie  On November 26, 2012 at 6:38 am

Thanks Yoma. Pop is having a hard time slowing down. If I live to be 93 I will be grateful for 10% of his energy. Amazing man! I sure do miss the old website. I am not into facebook and wish our Ann would come back. Boo hoo! But I will post on here once in awhile to keep in touch with the non facebook ARFs!

I still get the messages C/C. I guess I am a cross-generational poster. I just lost my brother. He died in his sleep Saturday night, Sunday morning. It’s been a stressful time. My preemie great granddaughter is finally pulling thru. She weighed 1 lb 13 oz and was 24 wks and 6 days gestation. That’s one day short of viable. She’s making progress now at 2 weeks old. My house is torn apart awaiting painting and new carpet. I’m going to try to put it off a bit but I sure want the new carpet. Crazy, my life is just crazy. It is wonderful to have a bunch of like-minded friends to share with.

          hugz

        • Miss Mimi  On November 26, 2012 at 7:43 am

Please accept my deepest sympathy—so sorry to hear of your loss. But glad to hear the little one is doing better. Take care of yourself.

        • Yoma Hitchcock  On November 26, 2012 at 11:59 am

I am sorry about the loss of your brother. It is sad when we lose loved ones. Prayers for you. Prayers for baby.. You certainly have a lot on your plate. I am so glad you still post on this site. It makes me happy to know you understand someone cares what you are doing.
I am keeping you and yours in my prayers. I will keep in touch.

Hi friends…been off the computer for awhile. Busy with the house and the yard. Been cleaning up the cottonwood leaves. We have 3 gigantic cottonwoods behind our property. Messy as can be but during the spring and summer they are filled with birds and I love to hear all the songs and twittering coming from the birds. We have been raking leaves for several weeks now and it is sure a chore. But it is so good to be home again. Did our voting by mail. Frankly I am not in favor of either candidate so I guess i have no opinion. I made a quilt for a friend of mine and totally surprised her. She and her husband collect and work with turquoise and other rocks plus they collect Native American arts and craffts. Her quilt is made with fabric printed with Native American pottery, 2 fabrics of different shades of turquoise and a spirit bear print fabric. The beat goes on! I haven’t joined Facebook and doubt I will. I miss hearing from ann but I was on Facebook a few years ago and didn’t really like it. Oh well. Have a great evening all!

  • Miss Mimi  On November 6, 2012 at 8:23 am

Carolyn—How nice of you to think about me. I live in Port Ludlow, which is about 1-1/2 hrs. or more from Puyallup on the other side of Hood Canal. I saw your picture by Horsetail Falls!! I’m from Oregon (well, orig. from Ct., but came out here as a child), and really miss all those beautiful falls. Regards.

  • Carolyn etn  On November 5, 2012 at 7:19 pm

Missmimi I went to Seattle Sept. 20. Thought of you when I seen a sign for pullayup. I remember you saying you lived up that way.
c/c rosie glad you are hanging in there.
I put my picture on facebook standing by horsetail waterfalls in hood river Oregon while I was out thar way. Beautiful country.
    love and hugs.

I spoke with someone the other day,and their daughter was incarcerated with Lisa. I guess most of the people are glad she is gone, and none of them believed a word she said. Pretty bad when the other prisoners feel this way.
If he wasn’t such a jerk I would wish him Good Luck, however he will now get what he deserves.

In my Ann Rule notebook, I have the Guestbook as beginning in 2002. I joined in 2004. I have a list of regulars, and occasionals. If you want the list, we could get a ‘come one, come all’ to the FB page. I think alot are there now…maybe more would join!

  • Anne Mystery Fan  On October 14, 2012 at 7:26 pm

I’m re-reading “Everything She Ever Wanted,” (just as chilling the 2nd time around). Did any of Susan’s family reconcile with her after reading Ann’s book?

  • C/C Rosie  On October 13, 2012 at 5:27 pm

Hello everybody…I know I have not checked in in quite awhile. Been trying to keep my siblings together mentally since our mother died in April. We were finally notified that she left everything to her husband. Nothing for her 5 kids. Makes me sick. But that was her choice. I did tell him that he was not a man in my eyes and had no morals whatsoever. he got mad and said I could not talk to him that way. Ha! But it is what it is. Been keeping busy, keeping the faith and settling in for the winter. Mountains south of us have a good covering of snow and I am anxious for some here in town. Hope everyone is okay!

    • Miss Mimi  On October 13, 2012 at 5:36 pm

Rosie—Good to hear from you, but sorry things turned out as they did. Life sometimes (oftentimes) doesn’t seem fair. Hang in there.

    • Yoma Hitchcock  On October 13, 2012 at 5:53 pm

      Dear Rosie,
I just got and read your news.. You are a good person. It is very disappointing for you and your siblings. I know from what you have shared about him that he has big problems… a control freak.. Keep the faith and know you tried everything to try and enlighten your mother about him.. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you keep well. I don’t know how long this site will be open; I know you don’t like the facebook site…if you want I could send you my e-mail site if you were comfortable doing that..know we ARFS care what happen to you.
God bless and do what you do…quilting etc…hugs, Yoma

    • swthuskergirl  On October 18, 2012 at 6:40 pm

I am so sorry Rosie that everything turned out the way that they did! I am so glad (as I am sure that they are) that your siblings have you! You are a strong person but even strong people need help every once in awhile and we are here if you need us! 🙂

What part of CO are you in? I grew up in Greeley.

      • C/C Rosie  On October 29, 2012 at 9:57 am

Hi there! Many thanks for all the kind words and sympathy. My siblings and I are doing okay. It has been a struggle dealing with the jerk my mother married but it is what it is. He is out of my life and that in itself is a huge relief. Anyway, we have been busy fixing our house up after it being rented out for close to 3 years. I spent the last 3 days in the kitchen on my hands and knees scrubbing the grout between the slate floor tiles. I kept looking at them and they just didn’t look right. I finally realized they were not supposed to be black! What a job that was! But they look like new once again and my legs are screaming bloody murder at me. Oh well. When I was a teenager, aged 14 I went away to a private school intending upon becoming a nun. One time for our so called recreation we were taken into the chapel, each of us given a knife and told to scrape the wax off the floor. Needless to say i was beyond shocked. Looking back, maybe it was training for the past 3 days working on the grout. By the way Swthuskergirl, I live in Montrose, Co., on the west side of the Rockies. I will have to look at a map to find Greeley. I love Colorado! Love to all my friends!

        • Yoma Hitchcock  On October 29, 2012 at 10:27 am

          Hi Rosie!

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal? LOL! Wow! sounds like the tile was really bad.. Hope your body doesn’t feel too bad. Grout is so hard to clean. Thanks for keeping us abreast of how you are doing.
Yes, it must be a huge relief to have your mother’s husband out of your life. Prayers and hugs for you and your hubby.
          Yoma

Please check into Ken Bleuw of Saginaw Mi,just got life without parole for murdering his pregnant girlfriend. He was a cop and the one who found her when he staged her suicide.I’ve heard from some people that the cops think he has murdered before.Quite a story for quite a few years before he was caught.Went from a detective in Buena Vista police,to a chief of police in Freeland and then back to patrol in Buena Vista. All Michigan towns, outside of Saginaw.I would like to hear the whole story and you seem to do that. Thanks for listening. Anne Day

Well Ann, I guess there are some naive people out there that might believe Rick’s coached account of events, but I think most of us support you and respect your many years of critical thought and knowledge about the criminal mind. I intend to read this book, especially now that Liysa is being freed.
I have truly come to understand the narcissistic personality after a couple of brushes with very sick people. It is indeed scary to think that people can be so skilled at deception and have no conscience..

For all of you who live in the Seattle/Tacoma area, a great place to visit is the American Car Museum in Tacoma. Went yesterday with hubby, and it is so impressive. About 350 restored, shiny cars. It just opened in June, and it’s a great way to spend the afternoon. $12 for seniors, I think $14 for younger people, and $5 for parking—but we’re cheap and parked a couple of blocks away and walked to the museum. Glad I found this ARF’s site again. Miss Mimi

Miss Mimi have you joined us on Facebook yet? Look under Annie’s Arfs
facebook.com/annie.arfs Looks like no one is monitoring this site. I see a couple of SPAM messages that are on the list and I usually have to wait to see my posts here. They appear as soon as I send them. Hope you can come over to FB.
